Lost brakes on my 2000 Tacoma. Lucky I got a 5 speed lol First problem was no fluid getting to front brakes even when bleeding. Next thing I lost total brakes pedal to the floor limped truck home. Only fluid loss i see is near or on a box above the drivers side rear tires on the frame w brake lines going in and out. What is this part exactly and is it easy to replace ..

    Welcome

Check all your brake lines, was it at a fitting or the lines itself?
Is the frame rusted? Which means the lines might be serious rotting (rusting).
Check the “O” rings at fittings.
Once the leak has been found, bleed the
    whole system.
At his point, I would do a complete brake
    overhaul. But that’s just me.
Your brakes and life depend on stopping.

Fixed line in rear still can't get nothing but a dribble to the front brakes I know I should start with the rear and bleed first. Bleeders are rusted in rear couldnt even move them guess just try and see what happens. I guess the main problem before the rear line rusted thru was the fluid wasnt getting to the front brakes way before the rear hole problem. What could cause that w no leaks and bleeding didnt work

    Welcome to TW!

Someone has to say it...this sounds really dangerous and this combined with the brakes failing makes me wonder if this truck should even be on the road anymore...unfortunately, 1st gen Tacomas have a bad rust problem with the frames in certain parts of the country.

Frame on rear pass side has been fixed about to get the bad side fixed and welded as well. I'll keep it as a farm hunting truck but need the brakes to work to be able to do so. Far cans be used as an everyday ride lol
