Here is a short video on the highway heading into the headwind. In D the truck dropped to 4th and wanted to stay there doing around 79-80. I switched to sport mode and upshifted to 5th and it held it fine. Keep in mind headwind and actual speed is around 4 mph faster than indicated. I've never seen the truck actually use 5th before. It was amazing!

Hey guys sorry if this has been asked before but I've tried searching and cannot come up with anything. I'm new to this and I'm not sure if the zendesk emails are being answered right now since website says they're on holidays til the 3rd although I understand Matt is still working on the tune so I figured I'd ask here. On page 7/8 of the dongle-less flash instructions (https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0885/5830/files/TOYOTA_Instructions_V4.2.pdf?2867552054118977364) it states "Flash the ECU file first, then load the TCU file and flash that". I'm confused by this because I was only sent 3 files for 1.04R which were stock, 87 and 91. Where do I find the TCU files or how do I tell what is an ECU or TCU file?

 

My friend has a ‘19 Sport and it runs a lot better stock than my ‘18 OR did..Not as well mine on 1.04/91 by a long way..

Its just one file so you only load one.

Those are older instructions, there used to be two files. There is only one now.

 

Gotcha, I figured it was newer because it's on page 1 of this thread and it's the updated version too.

 

It’s only one file for 1.04r. TCU (P5 -canbox) NOT gearbox

Good thing you mentioned it. You're probably the only person here with that incredibly rare ECU version that is waiting for 1.05 to drop. Wouldn't want you to slip through the cracks and be forgotten.

Yeah, I was definitely surprised to learn that there are already two ID's for 2019 automatics. I think it would be very interesting to figure out what the differences are between 04B30 and 04B31.

 

I'm under the impression 1.05 will do all that for me.

 

30 miles on 1.05 today, and wondering how many more miles until it's driving how it's supposed to? I sure hope it changes from what it is now........

5th gear around town at 33 mph is no bueno

I have the rough idle present, but that's very minor. While stopped, in drive, foot on brake, idle is about 550RPM and its rough. Doesn't necessarily bounce around, it just feels a little rough.
