What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

It’s not DOT related that I’m aware. The reason we don’t is because the sensor is quite large, making the corner of the bumper larger than the stock bumper so you’re losing departure angle and ground clearance. Also you can’t have the sensor blocked by steel and it’s very expensive to replace if you damage it. So we voted to just not offer the compatibility with the BSM, especially since you can also disable it on the dashboard in the truck.

 

Do you remember how much it was to ship 1 wheel? I don'y have anyway to take pictures but maybe I can find a picture of someone else steel wheels on a Google search. If I could get $25 a wheel I might mess with trying to sell them on Ebay.

 

It should only be a 50-70 dollar item. But it isn’t. The parts are cheap. So.... idk.. I do have it though with a trickle charger for my battery.

 

Added a 30" KC HiLites C-Series light bar behind the lower grill. This spot is perfect for this type of mount. Fits in there like it was made for it. It's hidden, but still visible enough for folks to see something cool is in there. Oh, don't look into the light. Trust me on that.

 

Swapped to 255/85R16s and removed the bed stickers. It's all starting to take shape nicely...

 

So how much lift did this give you over factory? Looks great!

 

Installed TRD grill and painted front and rear bumpers to match truck also painted mirrors. The sr grill is sold

 

Did the BHLM today and added some @mesojdm panels. I like the small changes.

 

I think they look the best on white. Well... 2nd to Quicksand

 

Ordered a set of Boss leafs to get rid of the blocks.

 

Decided on BFG MT KM3 in 285/70/17. Was kind of a bitch fitting it in my spare tire location. The tire was sitting on the exhaust pipe no matter what I did, so I just cut it off on the bend right after the rear axle. Lots of room now. Also hammered down the spare tire braces a bit and relocated the spare tire chain about 1” towards the bumper (followed a TW members write up I saw a while back).

First mod today. New X-Trek grill. I really like the look.

 

Made a t harness today to install... I got 40 feet of speed wire, just to have extra. Right now it's just looped, when I get my amp I will cut it and put the amp in.

I also tuned my cb radio

 

It rides good, soaks up bumps & pot holes. A little noise at 30 and 75 or so. But nothing annoying. These Tacoma’s aren’t built to be super quiet though lol.

You can barely hear a train in the Lexus lol
