HarlanBFlorida was very helpful posting how to install keyless entry for a 2016
Tacoma SR. I have the kit and the instructions, but not sure just yet how the
T-taps work. I understand they go around the designated wires, but do you
plug the wire receptors into the T-taps after installed? Any advice would be helpful
Don't want to start until that is clear.

Next add-on is Cruise control, then I will have installed the entire Convenience package for less than Toyota charged.

Posi taps > t-taps. Unless your soldering posi taps are the way to go, IMHO.
    @zerospeed has it right.

I put the keyless entry in today. A few words of advice: The instructions are not exactly as stated. On my 2016 Tacoma SR
access cab, Connector I7 is just adjacent to the key ignition site. The 12V battery red wire is big and the T-tap did not want to
penetrate it. I took a boxcutter and carefully scored around the wire, then the T-tap went in fine. Connector C11 is, NOT on the
lower steering column area, it is to the left behind the hood release area. It is black. Connector S8 is not Black, but blue and in
the same area. Connectors IC1 and IC2 are next to each other and below C11 and S8 connectors. The connections are straight-
forward, but I had to snap every T-tap together with pliers and connections were OK. Step 2b. was a bit confusing, The toggle
switch plugs into the add-on wiring harness, not a "factory" harness. Plug that toggle in to start with and get that out of the way.
Be sure to check all your T-tap connections and plug in all the plugs (I forgot one and nothing worked, a quick re-check showed
the error and all was well). Cutting the black wire on IC1 was not too hard, but you will have to take your box cutter and again
carefully cut back the black tape holding the wiring groups together to give you adequate access to the wires to connect T-taps.
Good luck with your keyless entry add-on. All I have left to do is add cruise control, on order from Ebay and that installation
is easy compared to this one. Good luck!

Sir do you have a picture of the wiring diagram to install the keyless remote kit that I can use to install the keyless entry on my 16 tacoma? Any help that you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
