    Hello,

An extra half liter wont really hurt anything, that said personally I would put what the toyota spec is and not over fill it.

how long have you been in putting in 6 qts? I got this truck brand new and I have always been changing oil 5.5 qts. Im tried of the measuring the half the qt... hehe. Besides, after 6 months. It seems like the truck eating a bit of oil.

Getting to start all over :)
If its burning oil that's a separate issue that should be looked into. Check the timing cover for leaks. It's a known issue.

That's like saying I'll have an extra slice of pie today because I'll be hungry again tomorrow.

Don't be lazy. Do it right.

70k miles. I also run a oil catch can. Measuring it isn't the issue. Just eye ball that .5 qts. I just don't like having half a bottle of oil sitting around, so in the truck it goes.
