Since installing a Borla catback exhaust a couple of weeks ago, I’m convinced part of the shifting issues with these trucks are exhaust restriction related. The truck just drives better now. Maybe I’m just driving it differently. Anyway, I have the 0058-16 ECU update and stock intake. Had it on the interstate for 10 miles or so today and not once did it shift to 4th, and in one direction I had a headwind giving some pretty good resistance along with hills. And that was using cruise control at 75mph. Anybody else had the same experience after upgrading the exhaust?

I thought the same after installing the TRD exhaust last month. Nothing miraculous, but the stumble is gone. 2018 Limited and I haven't had the trans TSB applied.

Maybe. But I wasn't looking for it. Added the exhaust for a little better sound. The slightly smoother transmission response caught me by surprise.

You say you didn't see 4th but did you see 6th at all?

Oh yea. Mostly 6th. Only downshifted on the hills.
