HID aftermarket....how necessary is it to carry spares ?

I installed an Innovited HID kit (typical cheap aftermarket) ........what kind of failure rate should I consider normal.

( I’m going cross country soon and wonder should I carry spare ballast and bulbs )

 

Yes I am curious to know as well. Just installed a cheap aftermarket hid kit the night before last and was wondering the exact same thing.

 

It’s electronics; you never know. Cheap could last you a few mins, an hour, days, weeks, years.

Check the feedback and reviews from where you buy, but doesn’t hurt to either carry your stock bulbs or spare HID equipment.

I personally have have dealt with maaaaany HID companies in my years of the aftermarket world. I have an OPT7 HID kit installed and haven’t had any issues.
