1200 rpm

2001 Tacoma Prerunner Auto V6.
High idle in park and neutral.
I changed the IAC valve, cleanes throttle body, and changed TPR sensor, and checked for vacuum leaks. And it still idles high in park.
No engine light has came on ever.
What is my next step? Only has 72,000 miles.

They best way I knew how, far from a mechanic. After engine got to temp, I sprayed carb clean around connections and on hoses and listened for changes in engine.

 

Yes, I've tried to disconnect the battery. I first brought my truck to the dealership for other maintenance. I asked them to check why high in park. They told me it was the IAC valve and wanted to charge me $ 550 dollars. So I told them NO, and I changed it myself, but still high rpm. But other than that truck runs awesome, no stalls or anything, I just don't understand
