Thank you for joining me on another wiring thread, I am wiring up my idatalink HC2 2352AC. I have it completely wired up except for 3 wires. I don’t have the Horn wired because I don’t know where the wire for the horn is or what colour it is. I don’t have the “Driver Door Pin (-) *with autolight only*” and I don’t have the Hood Switch hooked up because I assume it’s the same as the hood release. I’d like to get the horn hooked up to the truck but do not know what wire it is, if anyone knows I’d appreciate the information.

My remote start is not working right now, the unit has power and locks/unlocks the doors but it won’t start the car. I’ve tried setting it up but I do not get a green LED on the unit itself, I am going to check the wiring and reprogram it tomorrow to see if that helps but any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you everyone for reading and Happy Holidays.

The horn negative pulse for the relay is green/red.

There are different colored door trigger wires for each door. Assuming you want the drivers door, it's green/yellow.

As for the hood switch, that would be a pin switch that you install under the hood, yourself. That would be so it can't be started when someones fingers are in the fan.

Hood switch you add a pin switch[IMG]
The Driver Door Pin (-) with autolight only "could" be the blue wire on connector 1E pin 9.

Ahhh i understand, I really appreciate you taking the time to clear that up for me. I didnt realize the hood switch was to go under the hood. Do you know where the horn relay is located? I still have everything torn apart. It took me a while to find the tach but I used the OBD 2 sensor wire in socket 9.

So with the drivers door does that turn on the light when the driver door is open? I still don’t fully understand how it works. I assume it would turn the map light on that’s above the infotainment system. Thanks again for your time

I made a new thread about an issue I just ran into, the running lights won’t turn off once the engine turns off from the running start. I need to manually open and close the door to turn the lights off, is this the autolight wiring that we were talking about?

What are the "running lights" to you?

The lights that are left on after you shut the engine off. They turn off with the gauge cluster after you open and shut the door. I fixed the issue though, it was the autolight connection that referred to those lights
