This is silly, and definitely a long shot..... but I’m looking to trade my 2016 SR5 4x4 3.5 at for a manual 3rd gen.
    (Must be 4x4 and V6)
I can only add about $2000 cash, so bear with me.

    Details on my truck:
    45k miles
    -Softopper
    -16x8 SCS F5’s with 285/75/16 Falken Wildpeaks
    - Bilstein 5100’s all around
    - OME 887 coils
    - icon AAL w/ stock overload left in
    - OME carrier bearing drop kit
    - X-Trek grille
    - Full Bed Rug
    - LED high/low beams
    - CMC using bamf pre-cut plates
    - AVS rain visors

I’m sure there’s someone out there who is tired of shifting gears in traffic :)

I’ve owned two MT 2nd Gen Tacoma’s, an MT Cummins 2500, and two MT Scion FRS’s before this... I’m not sure why I thought I was fit for an auto trans

Either way, I love this truck. I think I’m just bored and I’ve been spending too much time on TW today haha

Good luck! Cut your loses and trade up for a new one. When I was looking for manual trans is wasn't easy.

Might be better off parting out and trading it in for a MT

I’m not hell bent on getting rid of it, so if this doesn’t work out I won’t be disappointed.

When I had my Cummins, there were always a handful of guys looking to trade a manual for an auto.... I guess because shifting with the NV56 trans felt like driving a dump truck lol. I enjoyed it most of the time.

I was just hoping someone here might possibly be fed up with shifting

I love my truck either way. Perhaps this post is just wishful thinking haha

Nah trade up for a manual..
Not really sure why people always say manual is a pain in traffic. I don't drive a lot of traffic, but when I do, I don't complain.

I just pull off and have a beer while traffic subsides. Problem solved.

You are basically trading one pedal for another when comparing AT with MT in traffic. I used to be bored as fuck with my AT 2nd Gen in traffic, now I'm enjoying it.

It’s all subjective- I actually did get annoyed in heavy traffic with my 2500 because the clutch was so heavy, and 1st-3rd happened before 12mph... lol. But never an issue with my other vehicles.

Coming from a Drifting, Autocross & RallyX background, I really do enjoy driving and having control.

That being said, I don’t hate the AT by any means... I just miss shifting my own gears sometimes.
If I really need to go out and drive something hard, I’ll go beat on my Ducati S2R... Although I’m thinking of selling it and saving up to build a 350z track/drift car. That will have to wait until I can afford a house though!

I had to drive through SoCal a little while back, and I was glad I had the auto. LA traffic is insane lol

I don’t feel the need for more torque, just more control lol. If I ever decided to get 35’s and a locker, I’d definitely regear.

I actually placed an order with OVTune on Christmas day because of the promo code... I believe the truck will drive perfectly (by my standards) with the 1.05 update.

    i get it.

just saying that gears really help this truck out tremendously. 4.88's even on stock size tires are perfect for this vehicle. you've already put money into your truck and per your statement have 2k to spare. why take the loss just to get someone's stock manual truck. you already have a badass truck, make it more badass. :)

Haha thanks, you have a good point there!
In reality, I probably won’t trade my truck or re gear anytime soon.
I’ll just buy a manual TRD OR when it comes time to replace this truck.... 10 years down the road

That's if manuals are still around at that point. It's becoming harder and harder to find one nowadays
