Is it just me? Thoughts on this brush guard

Yeah, some shrapnel in couple legs.. was another crew in my platoon but everyone walked away.

OP you in support of or against the grill or just seeing what others thought?

Obviously not a grill for looks but maybe good for a farm truck?

 

You would have to be out of your mind to put that on your truck.

 

I don’t understand it really.

-I don’t see how it would add protection. It looks like it would just tear off its mounts and smash the grill anyways.

-The weight would require new front springs, or cause serious brake dive and sag.

-It obscures the turn signals and high beams

-It ruins your approach angle and decreases front ground clearance.

I really can’t see any advantage, even on the farm, but am open to someone changing my mind. I just don’t get why anyone would mount such a thing?

 

I could do better welding while extremely intoxicated and a bag over my head.

Makes me feel better about the looks of my brush guard. Maybe its to increase sales of my brush guard?

Wouldn't doubt the owner of that vehicle has barb wire tattoos as well.

 

Those bull bars just smash up your front end up more when you hit something.

 

Can the ARB winch bumper be fitted in front of this guard, for added protection?? Asking for a friend and a photoshop request

No skin off my nose, as the saying goes.....

 

No idea, never had or enjoyed the look of a ridiculous brush guard. I have a 4x4 because of where I live and potential winter road conditions. If I felt the need to off road places that require all that, I would have a second vehicle to do so. No dig on anyone that takes their Tacoma’s out and need and use sliders and the such, just not my thing. Of course some of our forest roads leading to a hiking trail are pretty sketchy.
