    You sticking to handgun options?

I’ve got a M1 Carbine that I absolutely love. I’m one “period correct” screw behind the receiver from it being 100% correct. Still shoot it from time to time and it’s always been a really fun gun to shoot.

I’m working on saving for a bolt 308.. after that I think my next purchase will be an over under dove gun.

What about something a little more in the toy range? An MSAR E4 or STG can be had for a decent price and they are a blast to shoot. It’s not quite an AUG but for the difference in price it’s totally worth it in my opinion
Only difference between the two, the E4 takes AR mags and the STG requires the MSAR mags

Sounds like you need an FN FAL

But sticking in the handgun realm my FNX-45 is a dream to shoot for a large .45 carrying 15 rounds standard.

Yes! Have had a FiveSeven for many years. FN is making hotter ammo now probably due to pressure from Elite Ammunition making some really hot rounds. http://www.eliteammunition.com/

This guy nailed it. If you have your bases covered with modern stuff look to some older firearms.

    I need to find a P239 9mm, preferably a Gen2 SAS.

Considering it as a home defense/CC for the wife.

I was wondering if anyone has shopped around for an MP5 clone? I was looking at PTR and it looks for the price it can do the job decently well with sear capability. That said, I could spend almost double and get a beautiful TPM outfitters version. Wasnt sure if anyone had experience with either and if so, care to comment?

@JDAM has the PTR and seems to enjoy it. I own the Zenith MP5k clone and like it.

If you mean a full auto sear...the PTR is US made so it can be "sear ready". The Zenith's can be converted fairly easy (removal of block) or even sent to their custom shop to have it professionally fitted. But at ~$30k for the sear it wasnt something i was even remotely worried about :) (that and PTR wasnt out when i bought my Zenith)

Haven't had the PTR long but I now have 360 rounds through it and no problems(all NATO and a few Federal HST). I'm using the two mags it comes with and two HK mags. Has a Sig Romeo sight and I'm loving it! I highly recommend the SB folding brace for it.

Some people want/are waiting for PTR to make a more classic looking clone but I'm totally fine with the updates like weld on rail and mlok handguard. Just like my PTR 91 I enjoy a little more modernized version.
