Yeah, I'm going to update this thread and the site over the weekend. Thanks!

It's $50 more, it's a bit more expensive from Frontrunner, but no different to install.

Oh man, that's nice! I can't tell you how many hours Phil and I spent talking about tail lights. We have several at the shoo that were never used. The main reason we went with the tail light in the rear door was so that we didn't mount it in the mid section of the camper (the part that connects to the lid) and interfere with any awnings or other items. The other option was to make the rear window smaller so something like this could be mounted above it, but we didn't want to make difficult to enter the camper. We didn't want to compromise on those two things so that's how we got the current one.

The rear brake light that came with my Drifter is pretty nifty. It’s somehow manages to walk the very fine fine line of not being noticeable when unlit while being highly noticeable when lit. I look forward to the new iteration that comes with a solid rear door.

Solid rear door?!? I'd love NO glass on mine at all. Sadly, looking at my finances for the next year it doesn't look like I'll have any money to put into the truck in the next year other than gas, oil and food :(

We've had a few Drifters outfitted with a solid door. It's same door like the glass one, but had a solid panel instead. Just like the windoors, the panel is white.

Any pacific northwest folks notice any corrosion on their drifter? If so, how long have you had it? Would rather not powder coat but don't want a headache down the road either.

I’ve got loads of oxidization on mine. Terrible. Butni live in ana area that heavily salts the roads. I’m probably in a worse climate then coastal.

Sunrise this morning somewhere in Northern Oregon. Got stuck in a snow storm In one of the many national forests around mt vernon. . Not sure which one as it was 11pm and the pups and I were trying to find a spot to wait out the storm. oddly there is not a single rest area, turn off or anything open in half the national forests. Presuming the gov shut down is the reason. I just found one of their snow Dumps and parked in there in a foot of snow for the night.

The struts don’t like the cold that much it appears and i had to push the roof up from Inside the last 3-4”. Not a big deal just something to be aware of.

Shortly ending my trip and camping for the next little while. I’ll probably have the odd weekend trip or two in the next col months, but it’ll be minimal as I want to get the pup squared away with her training and repairs/rewiring on the truck done.

@Iggy At what stage of the build is powder coating done? Before windows, tent, and all that good stuff gets added or after the entire thing is built? And it's just on the outside, correct? The inside is bare?

Have you used any type of antioxidant coating on the drifter? There's a handful of products out there, though I'll admit I don't have first hand experience with any of them. Frame saver has done wonders for my steel bikes though...

Nope Not yet it oxidized within 2 weeks of me having it in northern alberta. I need a mild acidic cleaner to clean off the oxidization, then a polish so im not stripping the paint off the truck. I’ll deal with it in the spring/summer and have it clear coated/wrapped to prevent further corrosion.

It doesnt harm the drifter just makes it look oike an old alum boat hull

I've seen that one! I think it used to live in Oakland before they were probably kicked out for living on the street.
