SSO hybrid bumper, Warn winch, RCI skid trilogy, RRW sliders, everything in the cheap/free mods thread, and of course the frame recall work.
I think I can wait! The SSO winch bumper & new tires come first, so timing will be fine ... next spring for the radio!

This is a bit of an older thread. Do you have a model number for the maestro? Also, any thoughts on whether this will work on a 2015?

You can sometimes find a brand new Maestro RR on ebay for $89. Or used for cheaper.

I just want to be done.
Do you have install steps? Who did you buy from? Was it oem fit? Sorry man looks killer and I want my Apple play. And I’d like to keep the same oem controls from the wheel and all that...

I got the radio and everything from crutchfield and then had it professionally installed. The OEM radio is a little bigger so I had to get an adapter. The steering wheel and truck setting work good as long as you get a maestro rr from idatalink.

Does the maestro/HU output the nav data to the mini screen between the instrument cluster? Or is that feature lost?

You lose that feature. You also lose using the factory mic.

Damn, that sucks. I wonder if they'll ever come out with a version that includes that? Or I guess the real question is, what's the barrier that they'd need to overcome that's preventing them from making it work?

Im waiting for someone to come out with a 3rd gen specific system, such as the alpine restyle systems for jeeps, american trucks, the older tacoand tundra etc. Im guessing that with the 3rd gens popularity, (i see tons now) somebody will take note and make a fuss free (probably expensive) plug in unit.
Entune is manageable, but the stock non JBL speakers are horrendous.

If they do, it better be amazing for the $1600-2000 they normally charge for those.

Huh, I like my stock speakers, but then again I'm not that particular. I just set the fade like one or two not he's to the rear and it improved the sound quality a lot, in my opinion at least.

Just order my Kenwood Excelon DMX905S upgrade from Crutchfield for a Christmas break install. Main reasons:
Android Auto (wireless capable Pixel user here), Front camera support, 7" screen over stock 6", Maestro support

I'm looking forward to the added features and report back on pros/cons of the effort...likely start a thread just to keep it clean.

I got the Pioneer Avh-w4400nex and the maestro SW. I also installed a front camera. Install was really strait forward and crutchfield helped with supplying all wire kits and install brackets. Wireless Android Auto is awesome, but kills battery. The Maestro sw works well except the hang up/pickup buttons dont work. I’m going to reflash the module and see if that works. Overall the head unit is great and Android Auto is way better than Entune. Just make sure to set settings via Entune before you remove the original head unit as you’ll lose this functionality.

Would you mind sharing how you wired the front camera? I have the same head unit and understand the video out from the camera will connect to the video in on the Pioneer head unit but I do not know how to best wire the power for the camera. Thanks!

Does the phone need to be plugged in via USB for CarPlay to work or can it work BT?
