Got a funeral to go to today. Neighbor passed on Christmas Eve, he was in his mid 80’s, heart. Feel bad for the wife, she’s not in good health. They have a big family, lots of support. A lot of my neighbor’s are in the same boat, don’t like where this is going. Guy next door is in his late 80’s, couple across the street are in there 90’s. I know it’s part of life, still sucks. Gotta get out and enjoy life, it ain’t forever.

I've been considering an SUV as well. Just don't seem to have the need for a pickup like I use to. We took a Lexus GX460 for a spin a while back. Like the fact that it shares the same chassis as a 4 Runner but you get a V8. We're waiting to see what the 6th generation 4 Runner/GX460/LC Prado brings.

    Morning all

    Currently 57°

    In the house

Wife can't breathe when the central heater is on, so it's off while she is home.

Coffee, 2 blankets and a cat are keeping me warm.
I'm staying with the tacoma till it won't run.

Wife has the subie for comfort, mine is for hauling stuff and offroading.

In 6 days, I will be in the desert

I've been curious to see what Toyota's going to do with the tried and true 4.0. Have to admit that my 3.5 is not the Tacoma's strong suit. I will give it credit though - on a trip where there's no rolling terrain, she'll do pretty good on the MPGs. The current 4Runner/GX/Prado was introduced in 2009 so they should be do for a major update.

I just hope they don't muck them up and turn them into unibody cars.
My sister has a 5th gen 4Runner and is waiting to see what the 6th gen will bring before pulling the trigger on a new one.

    Still hovering around 48-50* here.
    Cold front coming in later.
Was going to go in the woods this morning but it was pee-soup fog in the early hours.
Going to do some fence repair on the split rail before the warm weather window closes.
