New Jersey Pine Barrens Xmas Run 12/23

Looking to have one last Pines run of the year. Plan to trails to sand pits and some other fun spots.


Tentative meeting time will be 9am. Depending on feedback from the group going it may change. Please post below if you are interested in attending.

 

Thats my back yard... ill be there in a (not tacoma) toyota pickup.

 

This would be a lot of fun. But I'm looking at a 3 hour drive to/from, and I have to work the day before and after.

 

what part of the pines are you planning to hit the Pemberton area like 4 mile road and mt misery rd area

 

I was just up there a few weekends ago definitely would come up.

 

any recommended trails in the pine barrens? i've been thru stokes road and wharton state forest but anything else?

 

Plenty of hidden jems... not to be posted on open forums were anybody can see.

 

Never been but I am interested. Heard it gets super muddy/soupy there. Is that true?

 

It was the first time I was up there but that's basically around where I was, kinda just followed the map around but I have a couple buddies that live up there and they know the trails pretty well.

 

Theres another group organizing for the same day so I may just change the starting point and tag with them. Been travelling all week for work so when I get home I'll get this all sorted.

I was out there a few weeks ago after days of rain. There was mud but nothing a stock truck couldn't handle. Theres def water holes which should be avoided. For the most part they can be avoided. We only stick to legal sections.

 

Anyone going to this tomorrow?

Cool were running late too

 

Made it home... going down 70 at dusk with no lights, no tach, no nothing. Alternator light was brightest thing on. Good run everybody!

 

At least you made it home. We had to cut out early. Dude I was w/ had a family commitment but it was still a lot of fun.
