MT stuff, RTT stuff, the usual.
OAL determines the legality of using a VFG on an AR-type weapon with no buttstock. If it is under 26" OAL and has a VFG, it is considered an AOW rather than a handgun, as we all know. But, if the weapon is more than 26" OAL and has a VFG, it no longer fits the definition of "handgun" or "pistol", but also doesn't fall into the AOW catagory, and it is not a rifle because it has no buttstock. It becomes simply a "firearm".

-stolen from arfcom, but accurate AFAIK

Was just about to post something along those lines.

Speaking of pew pew, I just pulled the trigger on a kick ass safe. I figure it's one of those buy once, cry once things so I got a Liberty Safe "Lincoln" model.
Thing is pretty crazy, it's got all these cool features like lights on the inside, and the interior is all made of Lexus/Acura tier fabric. Got financing on it for 0% APR plus an incentive on delivery cost so I figured it was too good to pass up.

... I got the 25 gun model and not the 40 so I could enforce a limit on myself.:anonymous:

Good luck with that. :D You'll just end up with multiple safes. Better approach in the long run anyway, IMO. Shotguns in one; hunting CF rifles in another; rimfires and target CF in the other.

Should have added -- nice safe. I'm with you in buying the last one first (getting the quality you want from the start). Saves money in the long run.

    Working all weekend.
Plus I bought a book, reading takes up Interweb time, but is supposed to be good for you.

Very musical Christmas at my house, everyone got a new instrument. Guess I now need to learn how to play the bass guitar I got. Luckily everything was electrical, so everyone must wear headphones while practicing (well except for one). Three kids trying to figure how to play a new instrument would drive me nuts!

Car getting the winter weather treatment since it don't drive in the snow so the truck gets the garage again.

Had a close call in the cinders running 2wd locked through whoops covered in snow and almost tagged a tree.

And gave the car a name. Sticking with the sauce theme (truck being named taco sauce) the car had been aptly named Alfredo for being white and creamy.

Bartlett lake, the north side though. Last time I was at the verde river (below bartlett) bass was jumping but nothing was biting. Hopefully I have more luck tomorrow.

Down in Chandler, a place called 1 800 4A Gun Safe. They just so happened to have a Lincoln 25 in that white marble color but the finance deal is for any Liberty safe so you could order anything, even though their site. It’s only through the last day of the month and there’s a flat finance fee of 2% up front ... no personal loans would come near that rate and my savings that’s gonna pay for it is earning 2% APY so it’s basically free money. I’m looking forward to the installation date!!

I'm looking for a 3 or 4 inch piece of 2inch DOM tubing .250 wall. Anyone have anything like that laying around? It's for the lifting fixture for my electric scooter. Pairs with the hoist i've been building in the bed of my truck to lift it. PIC's coming soon.
