Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Last time I got this error it was because the file didn't download correctly so check and make sure the file size is 2.78mb for the archive and. 1.50mb for the actual tune file check these in file properties.

Took a 220 mile round trip last night. All freeway, long straights, windy roads and all the Cali hills. 1.05 91 averaged about 19.5 mpg. 5-6 gears hold great on the freeway, hit 4 a few times going uphill. I gotta give it up to @OVTune and his hard work. Definitely worth the wait

Just get back from a quick drive (~25 miles). Even though it hasn't settled in, I'm simply amazed. Most of all, I'm excited about the responsiveness! Never thought this truck would feel like that. MPGs for that short drive appear to be very good. I'm not one to pay much attention to what gear it's in or needing the shift points to be at specific intervals or whatever; I had all that fun when I had my MT. With my AT, I just care about how drive-able it is. And I gotta say, 1.04 was awesome. 1.05 is a dream. Rock solid. The one thing that I did notice was that, even on the 93 tune, the RPMs tended to stay on the low side.

Looking forward to seeing how it improves as I put more miles on the tune! Oh, and ECT is hella fun!!!

Can’t wait to actually go on a long/longer drive with 1.05. But that means I’d be driving to work...

 

I was happy just pulling out of the garage on 1.05 93 and it got better from there. When I first moved the wheel I was in park and that damn rev up for the steering kicked in like usual, but as soon as I put in gear, no throttle, just a little rev up when move the wheel. Thanks Mat, that was a pet peeve of mine. Only have about 30 miles on the tune so not going to make any mpg claims or anything else for a tank or 2. But happy with everything.

Really! This is why this thread is a cluster fuc! That is hardly a relevant question for this thread!

 

I have the URD cat delete y pipe on mine in front of a flowmaster dual outlet cat back that bolted up at the factory flange location. there is zero room behind the muffler and I just barely fit an 18" spiral louvered glasspack in front of the muffler,clearance at the crossmember is minimal...

 

Is the clunk still there on 1.05 ? Out of town can’t wait to get back and start tuning.

Day 2 of 1.05 91 tune. Just keeps getting better! You guys are going to love it!

 

I've had a minor clunk when cold but zero after it warms up.
