Right. It's not a tire model in the current line up.

For a more aggressive tire and a more aggressive look, get the LTX A/T 2s. Almost the same tire wear. Actually better wear on gravel. Still good on highway. I have had both on my Rams and my wife's Tacomas and prefer the AT 2.

I use LTX M/S on my 4runner exclusively (and offroad that thing a f*kton)
    and AT/2 on Trucky.

When my AT/2 wear out, I am going for M/S on it, too.

all I can figure out from the two tires is....I cannot figure out a difference!!!
except maybe the AT/2 pulls me through frozen corn snow better ??

Question for you guys running the Defenders. I currently run the BFG KO2 and was thinking of switching to these tires, but my concern is the off road ability. not like rock crawling but I farm part time with my dad and do a lot of hunting. How do these tires do on muddy farm paths, fields things like that? one spot I contend with is a pretty good slant that gets like greasy/slick mud around a field even with the KO2 I slide down towards the drainage ditch unless in 4wd and moving pretty decent seed. Thanks in advance

you'll need to keep some speed.

you are maybe better off with something knobbier on the sidewalls
if you do muddy fields a lot. if you stop you may sit there trying to get out

or need to air way down

then again, the BFG blocks are so big they float you up...
the deep grooves in the M/S help dig in and can pull you through
    more than you think...

Check out the tread on the LTX AT (Google). It's a little more aggressive than the LTX MS, but likely possesses some of the same benefits.

Ditto. Had them on my prior Tacoma. Seemed like the proper balance between pavement and dirt. Definitely going to Costco for some Michelins when I wear the OEM Goodyears down.

With all of that siping, they oughta be a great wet/winter tire.

I've lived down 1.5 miles of Arkansas flint road for 17 years. It cuts the hell out of cheap tires at about 1/2 tread life. Defenders are the only tire that will run all the way down to the wear bars so they last ~3X longer than any other tire for me as they wear longer too.

They also made my last truck (a 94 Ranger) much safer to drive as it was terrible in the rain. It was stuck well after putting defenders on. I've had a couple of instances in my new truck with sliding on wet roads with the factory Hankooks. I figure they'll get cut up at 1/2 tread and I'll replace with defenders. They are the best tires I've run.

I am still impressed with the mileage gains since going back to stock size NON-KO2's. This was a 20 minute trip mixed driving yesterday. With my KO2's I was lucky to get 17.

I'm running the 305/50R20 Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires and I am very happy with them. They are lighter weight than other tires this size, and they are extremely quiet and awesome in the rain.
They are sized more like a 285/55R20 tire if you compare the dimensions, and they tuck in perfectly on a set of 20x9 wheels with 0 offset..

Hello I came across this post and wonder if you can please help clarify whether my tires will fit on my rim as it appears to be the same set up that some of you have? Although I cannot see the size clear enough in the photos.

I recently bought a 2015 Tacoma TRD sport Double Cab with stock 17 inch rims that are 17 x 7.5 wide. It has Cooper tires on it now they are the Stock size P265/65R17 but I want to change them as I find them noisy and also not the best for fuel mileage. I drive 99 percent on paved roads and rarely ever venture elsewhere. I bought a set of TRD Sema pro wheels in Graphite and they are 17 x 7". Picture Attached, I want to buy a set of Michelin Defender LTX M+S and use the TRD Pro Rims. Are you using the stock size Michelin P265/65 R17 Tires on this same size and width rim? My concern is Michelin's website says rim width range for that size tire is:
    7.5-9.5".

Will I have issues with the 7" wide TRD Pro Sema Rims PTR20-35110-GR with the stock sized Michelin Tires listed above? Is that what size some of you are running on same 17 x 7" wide rims?
I do not want to go to a larger size or different tire, I had Michelins on my last truck and liked them more than any other tire I have purchased.

Perfect tire for a Sport. But, I'll stick with my Duratrac's for the Off-Road. The Kevlar's that came with it should have probably gone on a Sport.
