    Aloha Everyone,

I have been looking for a dash cam for a few months, after spending a ton of time on YouTube, I decided to go with the Blackvue DR900S-2CH

Check out the video below below, Video is Install and Road Test, if you want to skip past the install, go to 4:40min

I am a dealer for BlackVue, maybe i can get a group buy going or something

Also, if you can, please help support my channel by liking the video and subscribe if you have a account, channel is open content, but Overlanding, Trails here in hawaii, motorcycle, beach, hiking!

Just came across your post. I just got done installing and hardwiring my dash cam (DR900S-2CH) cannot be more happy with it. Works really good and it’s fun tinkering around with it. I only wish they would tell you how much memory is left on your card. I know it will overwrite but I think it would be a good feature just so you can tell how long it takes to fill up a card. What card size did you go with?

I’m running a dual channel and get maybe 10 ish hours but check out their site for that info.

I’m running a 64gb but a 590 so I hit 10-11hr. The 900 takes up more room. Since I have a battery and a auto off based on voltage it typically just shows me over night or day off so I need to get the sd card out if there is something I want when I get home, can’t wait for next day

Thanks for the table! That helps a lot. I ended up getting a Samsung pro endurance 128gb micro SD. It was only 30 bucks at frys when I bought it. The people at black box my car told me that’s one of the best to run in the camera for a franction of the cost too

I’ve put about 5 of them in for people, my car, wife’s, fathers, mothers, brothers. They have all been awesome. Also if you have the GoPro mount you can use that for it as well with a part from shapeway

If anyone is interested, I also have the blackvue and I found power and acc in the head liner. The constant power comes from the map lights and the acc comes from the mirror. Using these I did not have to run any wires down to the fuse box for an easier, cleaner install.

    Excellent! Good to know.

I take it that you did not add the powerpro module?

I did use the power module I velcroed it to the back side of the headliner. There is actually a lot of room up there.

I have a DR750S-2CH, very satisfied with it.
While not perfect, it does its job quite well.

I got a Cellink Neo to go with it for extended parking mode. Hardwired to the fusebox for 9A quick charge.
Ran the wire behind the radio area, somewhat close to the heater core's pipe...

Now I want the new Blackvue B124-X battery, and use the Cellink as an expansion, to stay in the Blackvue ecosystem.

I made my own battery pack; an 80ah LiFePo4 pack. I'm looking at how & where to install it; likely in the back seat area.

Is the overhead wiring large enough to support the cameras and lights? Do you know what gauge they used?

    Thanks.

I don't remember what size the wire was but the draw from the camera is very minimal.

Thanks. This is a big help.

If I can get away with having thinner wires (14 or 16 gauge) from/to the battery pack, I can run them up the pillars.
