Want to mount my phonemount on the dash instead of the windshield . Do these pads ruin the dash over time if I decide to remove it later ? Thanks in advance . E7BA9BA1-1923-45B7-902D-786D60B44729.jpgD0CA909E-18C4-42C7-A876-A4C30C24E587.jpg

I had an iOttie phone mount on my dash with that exact sticky pad for ~1yr and just took it off. It didn't "ruin" anything, but I can clearly see where it was stuck. I think it's a combination of no sun hitting that spot and the rest of the dash being kinda dusty. Not a deal breaker, but over time I could see it becoming more of a contrast.

I switched to the DMM.....way cleaner look, way sturdier. Just got a 17mm to 25mm RAM ball adapter on Amazon for like $6 to make the iOttie mount fit the RAM arm. Super happy i did it.

I specifically bought from @FreshMexicanTaco (the DMM maker)
Dashtop Multi Mount... 1ea @ $50.00 (pretty sure it was on sale at the time)
1" Ball mount with bolt and bushing for DMM...1ea @ $10.00
    Small dual 1" socket Arm...1ea @ $8.00

and then to make the iOttie phone mount work, this adapter on Amazon
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MZXRSST/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    went from:

to this (and you can kinda see the circle from where the sticky pad used to be):

whole thing turned out great. One of the best mods out there.

    hope that helps
