Drunk Sideswiped My Truck

Well left my truck parked on the street outside of a friends last night. Had a few too many to drive home. Came back to it today to find that apparently someone else decided not to make the smart decision and left no information.

Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be any way to track the person down that I’ve been able to figure out. It’s not bad, looks like just some minor denting in the front panel and some paint damage, but I’m just pissed that my two month old truck needs body work. Looks like my side steps helped protect it a bit. Hopefully there’s a big hole in the guys bumper where my side step went through it.

 

Damn man sorry this happend to you. That damage is not bad at all like a 4 day repair. Repair the door, partial refinish on the fender amd replace the fender flare.

 

May get lucky and buff out of paint? Buy a new flare and be set.

Any dents? Hard to tell in pic

 

Unfortunately it does appear to be bent a little on the quarter panel where it meets the door. Very minor though. It is hard to tell in the picture. From a distance it’s not bad, I didn’t even notice immediately. If it was an old truck I would probably just buff out what I could and leave it.

I’m assuming based on the way it looks like the truck was hit... I can’t be sure, but based on the fact that it was head on and not from the back, and scraped until they hit the side step with a bumper or something it actually looks like they were driving the wrong way on the one way street.

 

Sorry about your truck. It’s good that you decided not to drive. Better a dent than totaled.

Happened to me one NYE in front of a friends house. Luckily it was just my mirror... found the other vehicles mirror in the street too the next day.

Ether way sucks. Bad deal OP
