I kept hearing that Magnuson was making a supercharger for the 3rd gen and would be available in 2018, so I emailed them. It sure does not sound like they will anytime soon if ever..

I think people "wish" they were going to have a supercharger and they posted opinion and conjecture as fact. I have been following this closely and at no time did Toyota nor Magnuson ever say they were going to have a supercharger for the Tacoma and it was going to happen on X date.
It's easy to get rumors and facts confused.

I thought they posted a photo of a 3rd gen on social media at one point trying to stir up commotion and hype about it, but I guess that's all it was...more PR for them.

I have seen other posts where people screen shot emails from Magnuson that said they were in the process of working on one, however, this looks like a step back on that.

Aw. Samesies. I emailed the makers of my croc pot, they are’nt moving forward with the bolt-on coffee maker. I HATE it when manufacturers don’t put two things together that should not be together in the first place.

Considering the 2010 4runner S/C took 7 years to develop... and the 95 taco took 4 years... i would assume it would be available around 2021.

A triple bank do-all kitchen appliance. Why this doesn’t already exist baffles me.

Last week I taped a stapler to a bird. I mean, both things do different things. But the LOGIC is, why walk around, when you can have a bird fly around, getting the same job done, stapling documents. Why buy a dodge demon to shred the tarmac? Why buy a utility truck to move things one place to another, possibly off road? DO IT ALL AT THE SAME TIME.

I don’t understand why some of you can’t get past a turbo or supercharged truck? Look, yes I’ve had sports cars and love them. I’m not trying to make the truck one.. what I am trying to do is actually have a little power which these do not have unfortunately.. and yes, I realize there is a tundra, however, my problem was I like the smaller platform Tacoma and I live in a pretty populated area where parking sucks most of the time. So why am I trying to piece two things that don’t belong together? Adding a little more power is wrong? I’m not trying to drag race it lol, just would prefer more power than my lawn mower..

How much power do you need? Yesterday while pulling my 3000 lb. camper I managed a satisfactory merge maneuver on a short, uphill freeway on-ramp. 20 mph at the bottom of the hill, 75 mph achieved before entering the main lane. My personal opinion is that the truck does what it needs to do, which is anything below triple-digit speeds.

So I'm genuinely curious, what are you doing where you need more than that?

But our speedos say “140”. It should do “140”. Damnit, it needs to hit “140”. I bought it because it says “140”....

Did I mention it says “140”? I forgot...

I would venture a guess that it's more about just having a bit more fun with the truck, than doing it out of necessity...at least for most people. Hell most of the aftermarket stuff 99% of those on this forum installs is for the joy/fun of it, not because it's needed.

Yes my 04 is supercharged and no I did not install it, the PO did....honestly if it were up to me I would have left it alone because boost is a rabbit hole of love and hair-pulling headaches that I feel most on here asking aren't genuinely prepared for.

I just want a lot of chrome parts under the hood. Headers, intake, air cleaner cover, hoses, dipsticks, caps, well hell, everything!! And a sticker that says 454 ... chrome of coarse ....
