It's towards the top of my to-do/want list. This place (http://neoffroad.com/) is super close to my office and does it. I don't have any experience with them, so if anyone has recommendations for the greater Portland area that does it, lemme know.

I know Paulin's does it too, but haven't heard any firsthand feedback about them.

Edit- Therefore, I can provide useless information

My frame just failed state inspection. Anyone know a place that can patch it up in the Brunswick/Lewiston area?

Any slight guess on what this will cost me?

    Or is the vehicle done?

    Thanks guys!!!

All depends were it is and if there is good metal to weld to...
Honestly I’m surprised it lasted this long....

A lot of times they're just straight-up done; it's pretty rare in this state for just one part of the frame to rust.
I know that Armand's in Lewiston does frame straightening, but I don't know if they do rust repair too. The closest place that I know for sure does frame rust work is Theo's in Portland.

There is a guy down here in the Scarborough area that my mechanic recommends.... My mechanic said that his guy has fixed a lot of failed inspections and got cars back on the road.
PM me if interested and I'll send you his contact info

I am headed to Maine about March 9th-14th 2019 to explore Maine in the winter. I have been to a family cabin near farmington in the summer for decades, and love it. It is time to see Maine in the winter.

Any suggestions on places to explore/wheel in the snow or things to see in the winter with in a few hours of Farmington.

Anybody want to show me around?

The Golden Road is usually pretty scenic (and still pretty solid) that time of year, if you want to get off-pavement and do some touring. But, it's a long day trip if you go all the way up and back in a day. But, there's tons of places you can turn around when you decide you've had enough, too. If you just want some scenery, you can go up on the Height of Land in Rangeley and numb your face up looking out over Mooselookmeguntic, but in March you'll probably have to dodge some frost heaves on 17

    Edit-
Out of idle curiosity, where in the Farmington area? Starks, Chesterville, New Sharon, Industry, etc?

Thats a good one for a view. No wheeling though. I suggested Stud Mill Rd area as an alternative to driving all the way up to the Golden Rd area

Over by Dow Pines? Didn't even think of that area; haven't been up there in years.

I'm in the midcoast, there are some short scenic places around here.. like megunicook lake road area, some hiking trails there, camden hills is closed, but you can park down bottom, and either walk the road, or hike the trails.

Not sure what Dow Pines is I'll have to look it up. But I'm talking about out just past Milford/ Bradley area. You can take Stud Mill all the way out to Baileyville if you want to
