Missed the Hat release?! But yup... red stitching. White will just get dingy. For me anyway... I'm just messy :crapstorm::rofl:

@bvbull200 what was the slicer you got? After sewing with the knives with the prime rib it’s time to get a slicer.

    I have two.

My "go to" for a while had been a 14" Mercer granton edge slicer. Like this one:

    https://www.amazon.com/Mercer-Culinary-Millennia-Granton-Edge-Slicer/dp/B005P0OIBM

I put it in the Pitfaced travel kit and swapped to a 12" Victorinox granton edge that one of the guys on the team had. It is this one, I think:

    https://www.amazon.com/Victorinox-F...ocphy=1026411&hvtargid=pla-569097908054&psc=1

The one I just got is a Gunter Wilhelm 12" ham slicer from their discontinued outlet section. It is this one:

    https://www.gunterwilhelm.com/quest-12-inch-ham-slicer/

It's really nice. I know they're kind of a "Cutco" type brand, but reviews were solid, they look nice, and my initial impressions of the three different knives I bought are all positive. My only real gripe is that the handle is about 5-10% smaller than ideal. That said, the Mercer has an over-sized long and girthy (giggity) handle that might have spoiled me a bit.

I'm considering snagging some Gunter Wilhelm cleavers that might need some laser beaming :D.

We did some for a raffle recently and they turned out pretty good! They were budget aprons, though, so nothing too special. The logo looked excellent on them, however :D.

I have a really good denim apron that is fairly long and has lots of storage on it. If I do merch, I want to do it right, so something along those lines is how I'd approach it. I can't make any promises on if/when that will be, though :(.

I'm going to talk with Trent tomorrow and we'll double-check all of the slight tweaks we want to make. We're definitely going with the red stitching, though.

It's funny, initially, I thought the tan stitching would be best due to the contrast on the black. We got a free sample and that's the one we got with it. I went ahead and paid $35 for a sample with the red stitching, just to be sure, and am now glad that I did. I'll probably let Trent keep the red (it was his idea) and I'll own the one off with the tan stitching :D.

That would be color-scheme #2 if we manage to sell a few of these! :D

Just ordered 3lbs of Pitfaced rub. Can’t wait to try it! If I like it, I’ll be first in line for a hat - they look awesome.

Absolutely, a pork butt coming soon! Heading out on vacation Friday, so it will be a couple weeks. Just received it yesterday and they tossed in some spicy to try for free!
