476 possible channels on Dish packages we have.

There is NOTHING worth watching at the moment.

    Sad.

We ditched our cable about 3 years ago. It scared the hell out of me for about 10 minutes.

Satellite, cable....same crap. On the rare occasion I seen something on the guide I wanted to watch I recorded it so I'd have something to watch later.

I didn't realize this dude was tucked away in the drink fridge so it's now in the oven, covered and getting ready to be the main attraction at dinner tonight.....then sliced and frozen to go with the other stuff. Spaghetti tomorrow.

Of course, when we were kids we didn't sit around watching the big shit box all the time either. Certain nights were certain shows and the rest of the time was usually riding bikes, hide and seek, hunting, fishing, motorcycles, wood cutting, home work, model building, playing sports, camping....fun stuff.

Frisbee. ...I forgot Frisbee. Did a lot of that.

I still watch westerns. Dad watched news, MASH and Hogan's Heroes and the Muppet Show....the old guys were hilarious. I caught cartoons after school for about an hour then homework. When we lived with mom it was Hee-Haw and Lawrence Welk on Sundays. The rest is a blur.

Someone had to get up to change the channel. At our house you had to say "Saved" when you got up or else you lost your seat.

I had the grocery in and grocery out chutes checked at the same time about a year ago. Yeah, got a 10 year before my next grocery chute checks. Well worth it for piece of mind...
