Western NC mountains is what I would consider "a full set of seasons." Maine is the polar opposite of East Texas where I am from. 8 months of cold and 4 months of mild temps

 

I have family in the Blue Ridge mountains, spent a bunch of time there as a kid.

Loved it.

 

I lived there for 6 years. Owned a 2600 sq ft log cabin on 6 acres at the top of a mountain. Still consider choking myself for selling it and moving to the beach

I’m sure some places or people have them as pets . Hopefully none have escaped into the wild. They probably wouldn’t survive anyway

 

I bought one recently too. I got mine for $240 after the rebate. It didn’t come with a scope though. I haven’t decided what scope I’m gonna go with. The Crossfire 2 is in the running though. I did order an MCarbo trigger spring for it yesterday. I hope it shoots as good as the ones I’ve seen on Youtube.

 

Just took my new lil friend out for the first time. Incredible lil pistol really loving this with the green laser. Just 200 rds so far ate everything not a single problem. The Sig 365 ammo didn't seem worth ordering again but at least i tried it. I'll stick with my WWB 124 nato and HSTs.

 

PSA has $39 stripped lowers in stock again so I just ordered one. Get em while you can I figure.

I also just received ammo for my new 20" upper with Vortex Viper HST.

 

Great scope, although I’m not a fan of scopes on an AR. Just a personal preference for me.

 

Pretty loose laws in MT too.

 

I hear you. I've got an M4 upper with an Eotech and the longer barrel upper for fun and maybe coyotes in the future. Soon both will have their own lowers.

 

Maybe it’s my background but can only go red dot or holo on an AR. I even make the wife run CQM/SRM controlled pair drills.

My semi-long range (400-700m) rifle is a Tikka CTR in .308.

 

I've got bolt guns in 308 and 30.06. I didn't buy a 20" AR upper for CQC.

 

lol yeah, just my preference is all. Plenty use AR platforms for long range and do very well with it.
