Went on a mini road trip over the New Year's weekend, Phoenix to Sedona to Vegas and got a bit of dirt time in. Did Broken Arrow trail while in Sedona, short but fun trail. Was having difficulty with parts of it and had to use low range and the locker to get over some obstacles. Then on the way out when getting out of 4wd I realized that the ADD was still disconnected so I did the whole trail in 2wd. Out at the very end of the trail saw an old guy and his family in a bone stock 3rd gen Off-Road.

Didn't feel like taking pavement all the way to Vegas so took part of the NVBDR section 1 from I40 near Kingman to I15 in Primm. Very well maintained dirt roads for most of it, some poorly maintained powerline roads for some, nothing crazy, 4wd once because of a deep washout that was steep loose sand. Should have done the same on the way back, I15 from Jean to Primm had a 15 mile backup because people don't know how to merge. Could have taken dirt roads and saved about an hour.

haha for sure, killing time reading through your thread. Didn't realize how much work you put into your rig, you did a hell of a job resurecting it from the insurance gods. They shouldn't have totalled it. I've been wanting to go out to sedona for a while now, just haven't had the time. Looks like you had fun!

Sedona was fun but it's overran by the pink Jeep tours and rentals. Not exactly a wheeling destination, more of a destination with some wheeling available.

This is why I want to move farther west. I hate that good areas to go explore are so far away.

The only thing wrong with pink jeeps is their sheer volume, we passed one about every 200 yards

Just bought a set of 3.5" BS F5s so no more rubbing on my shocks, will be weird having unscuffed wheels on my truck so that will have to be remedied quickly. @Coot83 Joshua Tree or Death Valley 1-3March?
