damn i love your truck, not gonna lie i stop by once every couple weeks just to stare at yours, wish mine would've been different color ( barcelona is my top choice) but since silver is the only color i could find in 8 months i had to take it plus i don't have to worry about washing it so often.. just wanted to say your truck looks awesome..

Made a new front license plate bracket similar to the one on my 2nd gen. I noticed the big stock one has cut grooves in my bumper cover. I made improvements and now sell them too. Made mine by hand. The rest are thicker and all machined to +/-0.010" tolerances.

New are 3/16" thick with stainless hardware and rubber isolators. No drilling. No grille removal. Uses existing holes drilled at dealer for the original plastic bracket. $16.99 shipped on ebay. If no front bracket then will require drilling 2 holes dia 3/16" for mounting with included self tapping stainless screws.

Battery died at 18k miles. Replaced with the same size 24F. Did not like the low amp battery so upgraded to 2nd gen tray and 27F battery (heavy 53 pounds) with over 1000 amps.

Do you have some more pictures of your headlights from Depo that aren’t in the direct sun and show the black housing a little more? I’ve got a BBP, thinking about getting some.

Do you know the toyota battery tray part number? I've found two online and they do not reference battery size. One has a higher price-maybe its the larger tray?

    74431-03010- $32.32
    74431-0C020- $36.93( maybe the 27f)
    toyota parts deal online

    Thanks.

I went to Best Buy and I had them replace all my speakers with kickers and place a small amp behind the dash and my stereo premium not JBL still sounds like sounds like crap luckily I bought a warranty on product and install I am sick of it what did you do in addition to replacing the speakers TIA

There are a bunch of us that simply replaced all 6 speakers with Kickers. No amp. Most of us used the 450 watt peak 3 way 6 x 9 front door speakers, the 6.5" round 300 watt peak 2 way in the rear doors and the Subaru branded Kicker dash tweeters. I mostly listen to usb digital music and going on 2 years and completely happy. I don't get subwoofer bass but I get plenty in my doors. My system cranks. Many others duplicated mine with similar results. Non JBL entune premium. Now the radio output is, well, radio. The CD and USB crank. Never go wide open but close to it.

Sounds like they hosed up somewhere. The speakers are 4 ohms so check the ohms on the amp. I swear mine sounds great. Mine are directly connected to the existing speaker wires too.

Sold the 2016 to Pohanka Toyota (they came from Maryland and bought it) on May 28, 2021 for the exact price I paid new January 2016. Now I am back in a 2nd gen. A 2012 Access Prerunner V6 AT SR5. So this one will just be a modest budget build as it only costs me $14,350.

Then around 30 days later I also bought a 2008 TRD Off Road rear wheel drive with only 83k miles for $14,000. This pic is the day I brought it home. Runs and drives like new. Driver seat has some wear from entering and exiting. Not worn thru. The hood and roof have some clear coat loss and the hood paint is getting thin with rock chips on the front half. Still an awesome unmolested truck with an excellent history and no accidents. The stock 16" wheels are peeling. The AT tires are at a point where they ride hard. That is everything wrong with it. A great find to me.

Since purchased the 08 I have made some changes.
OEM wheels were flaking and the AT tires rode hard and bumpy. Added a black toolbox plus wheels and tires #2:

The 2nd set of tires were nice but wheels also peeling. Bought new 2021 4runner take off. Wheels and tires #3:

Then swapped to Kickers and Subi Kicker tweeters. Lighted HVAC knobs. Husky liners and Clazzio seat covers:

Then I did a ceramic wash and wax and added new plates

New grille and headlights for the 2008. Changes the entire look of the front.
