I don't think imma touch this one... but can't... stop... typing...

All I'm gonna say is you must have knowledge on your side or money on your side, but I'm gonna go with money because you'd of spent time doing research and seeing what others have done to accomplish what you want.

I mean look at most fj60's with all the 5.3 swaps and what tranny and tcase' they typically use(4l80 mated to og tcase) but then your title has the big ol SAS, and I'm sorry to say but if your going with big power, your axle choice better be big too... one tons, and you better be swapping that rear end as well, cause that 8" ain't holding up no matter what parts you through at it, ask me how I know. AND then your gonna have to be on at least 40s to have any ground clearance lol.

But this is all speculation off a very vague post from someone I'm guessing that either has very big dreams or more money to through at a truck then most of us.

I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, I just had a minute to keep typing and felt like throwing some shit out there

Edit: also you might have friends in that do these sorta things possibly?? Otherwise a really good relitive with a lot of free time? I'm guessing you know how to wrench and weld and etc...

I'm in the middle of this exact swap, LM7 5.3, 4L80e, crawl box/np241d (maybe atlas 4speed). I have a 92 Dodge 60 kingpin and a Ford Sterling 10.25. I went with these for very specific reasons.

If you go with leaf springs, it should all be pretty strait forward. If you go with links, one issue I saw was the oil pan. You might have to get an F body conversion pan that has more clearance. The other was use shorty rear dump headers.

Obviously, you will want to go one tons. Depending on what you want to do, 05+ super duties are a great option and you don't have to do anything but figure out steering (there is high steer options). They are disk braked on all 4 corners and have a pretty good after market. Then there is GM 60/14 bolt combo that are tried and true. Anything you want to do to these axles you can. Also, for all these axles they make shave kits. This adds up to 2 inches of extra ground clearance (pending which axle) and that basically turns 37s into 40s.

Don't let the nay-say-ers discourage you but you definitely got a lot of reading and planning to do.

Ya I've got plenty of time and $ and also enough knowledge between me and my friends I just figured the more information I have the better. Going to document all the parts and possibilities of what I need to do it'll be fun. Thanks for the input I need as much as possible

My engine swap I studied for a year, gathered parts, ordered EWD manuals, watched video's, basically did research, and then when I got to it, it only took two months to do the swap.

Motor, drivetrain, rear axle, front axle, wheels and tires, suspension. Each ones gonna end up costing thousands. There's no way around it except cutting corners. Upgrade one thing and the whole thing needs bumped up another notch, so figure out exactly where you want to be before you ever start, then stick with it and don't add extras or cut corners.
