    2007 TRD Sport Crew Cab
    Needed a truck for house work and finally decided to pull the trigger and buy a Tacoma. I got the truck this summer and have loved it so far. The only weird thing I have noticed is when I step on it in a rare highway occasionally it maxed the tac out to 7k. This can't be normal. Any idea on why? Maybe someone chipped it?

    I normally do also. I was just trying to get it to downshift and it went all out. It is a Canada truck so who knows.

    My truck has never really gotten above 5k trying to speed up on the highway (fastest I’ve gone is 105 in it)

    Thanks for the comments. Looks like the previous owner changed it some how. Now I just need to figure out how to get it back to stock settings.
