FYI for anyone doing this moving forward if it hasn't been pointed out as of yet....

I just had to replace mine this past Friday by myself, Toyota dealership wanted $245 to replace & only cost me $30 for the part at O'Reilly's. Anywho, the best & easiest way to get to everything w/o all the fuss is from underneath the truck. If you just take off your skid plate (4 bolts) it's SUPER easy to reach all the pulleys!!!

I did mine today after my oil change. Since I usually take my skid plate off to look for any leaks, etc, I worked mine off and the new one back on from underneath and on top. Write up was very helpful and it took about 30 minutes.

Just did mine..original belt had 11 years and 113K, no real cracking in the few places I looked but better to fix it in the driveway at my choosing versus wait for a tow late at night, especially with the cold weather upon us.

Excellent write-up FryBoth & thank you, this only took 10 mins. A 12" long ratchet works perfectly as the end can rest on the frame while you route the belt. A new belt from my local Toyota dealer was @ $68.00.

Before installing the new serpentine belt, spin the pully's & tensioner to make sure they spin freely & aren't binding, or the source of any belt noise.

Fyi, my 2010 2.7L belt was 147,000 miles old, & amazingly there was zero fraying or other belt wear, the belt ribs were dark brown & only felt hard/dry to the touch.
