I don't really live in McAllen. I live in a small town south of McAllen, which only has McDonalds, Whataburger, Burger King, and Jack in The Box. The nearest Chick fill A is 15 minutes away.

 

Funny you still have Jack In The Box out there. They were here when I was a kid nearly 50 years ago. It was likely the first Taco I ever had. I use to eat the shit outta them. They were greasy AF and would always fall apart before you could get to the meat center. They had a very unique flavor though and I loved them!

 

Not a big fan of Jack, I just like Whataburger, McDonalds, BK, and Chick Fil A.

Yea, like I said, it was the only place in Baltimore or the east coast for that matter at the time to get tacos. 7-11 here was the first place to offer nachos with cheese sauce regularly.

My bad...all that food talk got me distracted.

 

We got nothing . Not even a gas station in my town ! Nearest gas about 5 miles , nearest fast food is half hour away . Only McD and BK and I don’t eat that crap !

 

We moved from the city to the county, where there is nothing but horse, cow, corn and soy bean farms. There is a place that sells steamed crabs less than 3 miles from me on my road. How lucky is that?!

 

Meh worth the 30 minute round trip

 

It's not really the distance, it's the traffic. The nearest one is across the street from the mall, which is always full of shoppers.
