    The shackles themselves. The stock shackles use a tension bushing instead of a free gliding poly bushing. And you are supposed to torque them under load (unsprung weight loaded under vehicle weight and not on jack stands).

    With all the extra weight off the rear of the truck now, there’s no doubt you lost some ride height too. May want to just try losening the shackle pivot bolts and re-torquing it with its new ride height and see if that improves anything with the stock shackle.

    Yes the factory shackle hangers are garbage and bend easy, but the loaded bushings are more to blame than frame or hanger flex when it comes to the oscillation you are describing. Shackles alone got rid of the oscillation issues I had and that was long before either BAMF or Archive came out with replacement hangers.

    I had the same bumper/swingout with Deaver springs, BAMF hangers, and King shocks with no issues like this. Even with a 35” spare and 10 gallons of fuel.

    Also didn’t have any issues with HD Dakar’s besides the fact they didn’t hold their lift after the addition of the rear bumper.

    Get adjusters. I have ADS shocks with HD Dakars and a HC bumper with swingout, but I can tune this out by increasing the dampening on the shocks.

    And for what it’s worth, adjusters are compression adjusters. They don’t do squat with rebound.

    Read into that however you want.

    The adjusters don't change the dampening of the rebound stroke, but they do change the resonance frequency of the system. It won't compress as much, so the shock will rebound before hitting the next bump, thus preventing the weird bouncy feeling.

    **at that speed. Adjusting just compression only will just move the oscillation curve laterally.

    Regardless, I’m not in the habit of recommending a $400 upgrade for an $80 fix. Sure, compression adjusters have their place, but when he can just ditch the tension bushings, why not just do that.

    Oh okay i gotcha, that makes sense. Well, I will give the retorque a try and see where that puts me. But from what everyone is saying it sounds like a more permanent fix, a better ride quality, and the right thing to do either way; is some grease able shackles, new hangers, and might as well do a crossbar haha.

    Edit** - I say hangers because they are really exposed now with my HC bumper, so I am sure i am goign to smash them sooner then later...

    Yea, it moves it laterally cause it’s changing the frequency.

    Regardless, the adjusters are pretty useful for more than just solving this issue.

    I told the OP exactly how to fix his problem without paying 4x the money that will just move the problem to a different speed. I also said adjusters have their place. If you took that as condescending, that’s on you.

    My truck also does this (live in Denver) after adding my Mobtown bumper. I retourqued the shackle bolts after bouncing the truck while loose a couple times an I guess I’ll take it from there. I’ve wanted hammer hangers for a while now so maybe new shackles will be the excuse

    I did the same last night. Not a huge difference in ride. But, when i loosened the shackle bolts my truck did drop a tad, so there was some tension there. Thinking I will go with BAMF shackles next, then hangers if needed. Not sure if the BAMF shackles will work with my dakars though. Read some things on here that say they wont

    Yeah, drove 470 past Morrison this morning and it’s no better. New shackles next but I’ll need to live with the Boucher a little while longer unfortunately.

    Really want to just make the jump to full hangers to be honest.
