    Anyone notice this?

the original seller "jdm-motorparts" as listed in post#1 (currently $128)
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-4x4-Of...a-VZN170-VZN195-5VZ-FE-1995-2004/372467728316

and also this one (currently $129). seller is "genius-jdm"
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/4x4-Air-In...-Pickup-3-4L-5VZ-FE-Petrol-95-04/283206681326

wonder why the 2 accounts - regardless, I'll order as well. I was one of the last orders for the original listing @ $98. It was cancelled because of a "defect". Don't worry, it was packing damage iirc.

I pulled mine out of the bag again to have a look at it and wish I had time to install it. Then I noticed the plastic/manufacture date. Hmmm. This is supposed to be the day/month of the injection mold process.

This one is July of 2014.

Hmm I wonder if ARB had a bunch of extra ones made they didn't need or accidentally ordered way back and they ended up here somehow. The mystery of the cheap quality snorkel continues

More mystery. My guess is that these are possibly just NOS. If they were cheap clones that are being small batch made from a couple of molds then they would at least change the dates.

Looks like another 2-day transit time... will update upon arrival and I'll check for a date code.

I mean, they’re hawking counterfeit snorkels I doubt they care too much about correct date of manufacture?

Wonder how long it lasts before ARB realizes how many customers they're losing out on and takes some kind of action...not sure how that would work seeing as how the two companies are in different countries. ARB could probably just buy them out lol.

True. But why even load up the date die if that’s the case. Unless that hole on the mold had to filled and that’s all they had available... Dunno.

If nothing else they could probably convince eBay to remove the listings.

One thing, the A pillar bracket - not sure about the rest of you but the one I received is this plain silver color. Going to have to rattle can it black before I install. Same date code as others have reported. Other than that, all good. Just have to find the time (and courage) to drill lol

Are you sure that wasn’t the white tape film over it? They come bare metal with white tape cover. I painted mine black which is also stated in the DIY.

No worries :) Seem like no one does anyways.

Bright side, glad to see more and more people are saving money on this mode. Then again we all would have saved a lot of money if we didn't do the mod, but what's the fun in that?
