    Installed my G2 on Saturday.

It looks great but there are some issues.

    1. The rails towards the tailgate do not sit flush on the bed.
    2. The ends of the rails are sharp and unfinished.
    3. Water is leaking in from all sides as if the drain tubes aren't even there.
    4. The drain tubes are cheap plastic, not the old clear rubber tubes they used to use.

I installed nylon/plastic fittings on my drain tubes so I could avoid drilling bigger holes in the bed.

I contacted Bak today. Their answer was "its too new to know problems or solutions so just return it".

So now I have to decide, attempt to identity and fix leaks or return.

I am going to attempt calling Bak again tomorrow and getting someone else on the phone or maybe a supervisor/manager. I really don't want to return it.

Does anyone else have any issues or complaints? Solutions?

I'm sure he doesn't want to return it because of the PITA it would be to package/ship not to
Mention the cost to ship. OP sorry for your troubles with the cover, I hope Bak figures it out. Thanks for the post though I since changed my order. Good luck with the fix

Popped $800 or so on a useless cover. Should be able to take the time and cram it all in a box and drop some bucks on shipping. Beats being out of $800 or so.

Solid fold 2.0! Sucks man I hate it for ya. Although Extang doesn't advertise their solid fold to be water proof. If you adjust correctly it pretty tight. It's easy to remove in mins, light and lets you still use the fatory clets.

Sounds like the rail system to attach is different than what Sam posted for his F1? I ordered the Revolver X2 but canceled that order and going with the F1.

Sucks to drop this much money to have these types of issues and a crappy response from the manufacturer. With that type of response I'd see if they'd cover shipping it back since it doesn't sound like they give a damn on their quality or product. Or see if theyll give you a voucher to help offset the shipping costs to send it back that would go towards a different Bak model. Sad.

I read somewhere else Gen 3 owners having this problem. They figured out it was an engineering issue with the design. The Gen 3 bed tops are not the same as the Gen 2 which they assumed. If you put a long straight edge on the Gen 3 you will see that it slopes down towards to tailgate. That is why you have the gap. They are aware of the issue. Contact them and they will send you new sides.

I have the trifold BakFlip for the 2016 as well and I agree the edges are sharp and don't fit perfectly flush but mine didn't come with the tubes (maybe I have a different model) and I don't have any leaks whatsoever.

I have installed 3 different Undercover Ultra Flex covers and the first thing I do is get in the bed on my back and have the Wife shut the tail gate. I adjust/add seals or even silicone in a corner once to anywhere I can see light. I just installed one on my new Tacoma and didn’t even hook up the drain tubes and so far no water except around the tailgate and it’s not worth adding a tailgate seal for my use. Our covers are very similar is why I’m posting this.
