I’ll start by saying that I did some serious research about headlight retros before I ended up finally going through with it. I read through @mesojdm build at least 5 times and also a few people on this forum who do the retrofits professionally. I was initially going to try and tackle this myself as I consider myself pretty handy but decided I want the piece of mind of having a pro do it. I finally settled on @kustom54lighting because I was very happy about the communication we had started back in October of this year and also his process of building and and final delivery of the lights. You basically tell him what options you want, he builds them, and then you send him your lights. My truck was only out of commission for a week. Others that I looked at wanted me to swap my oem lights with another set they had or I had to buy another oem set. This didn’t work for me because I baby my truck so I know my lenses are pristine therefore I didn’t want someone else’s lights.

I’ll get to the build quality and light output but the most impressive thing about @kustom54lighting is his customer service. I started this whole process on November 16 by placing my order and asked if the lights would be done and back in my truck by Christmas because well it’s Christmas lol. I knew with thanksgiving and Christmas that would be a lot to ask. I had a hard completion date of January 3rd because I was going out of town. With the holiday it didn’t happen before Christmas but kustom came through and had my lights back to me on Dec 31st.

On to build quality. All I can say is wow. I’ve seen pictures on this forum of bhlm lights done by others and you can always see an indication of the lights being pulled apart. My lights still look like they did the day I sent them to him. No bent tabs, scratches, or even a blemish. The install process went smooth and kustom helped me along the way by phone for the albeit simple but first time wiring of the lights.

Now on to some pictures. I’ll have more output shots tonight. Also shoutout to @mesojdm for the filler plates and other parts like the interior lights and turn signal for his genius mind and top notch quality mods. I’m always impressed with his mods as soon as I open the custom shipping boxes lol.

The beam output is amazing to say the least and it gives the truck the one thing that I always thought it was lacking the most LIGHT lol. I came from a bmw and the lights on this truck made it feel worth half of what I paid for it.

Once again, shoutout to @kustom54lighting and @mesojdm for the amazing work and customer service.

Looks awesome!! You should replace the turn signal bulb also to get rid of that egg yolk look in the chrome housing.

Problem with the problights is there’s no upgrade and you pay a premium. Unless you can find a used set for cheap it’s definitely not worth it.

Do these work for the side marker light because they stay on all the time? No issue with over heating?

Also added the morimoto fogs to match the headlights. Output is way better than stock and install was easy. Will post some shots this evening.

    What options did you choose?

Your last post says the rx350 so I got that, that’s the projector I am most likely to get.

I’ve asked a couple people if the noticed that I changed the plate under the light to paint match, and they all said “not until you mentioned it.” I love that it’s a very subtle mod.
