Very nice. Ive had mine laying around for 6months now waiting to be installed. Been kind of lazy since when I had it in my Mustang it was a pain to install. You might just have pushed me to get this done this week.

Great video! Got the same camera in Nov but I have yet to install the power magic pro. So far it's been great. I really like the dual channel setup and the form factor makes it very discreet.

are you seeing any excess power draw from the OBD connection? I know for parking mode you set it up turn off at a predetermined number of hours and/or a specific battery level but I've had problems in the past with things plugged in there trickling down the battery if not started for a couple of days. Specifically an Ultra Gauge.

I think I'm going to go that route. Right now mine is temporarily plugged into cig lighter because I transferred it from a different truck and haven't had time to rewire it.

Post up some driving videos if you can.

    UPDATE.

Battery- So, i really like the parking mode. BUT, it has two auto power shut off settings. 12v, and 12.5v. when the battery gets to that level it turns off. I only drive 7 miles a day. 3.5 each way to work... about 30 min. camera was set at 12v cut off. so after a few weeks, the battery got low and after a freezing night, i had to jump to get to work. set the camera to 12.5v shut off now. i just dont drive her enough to re charge the battery from 23.5 hrs or drain per day.

oddly enough , both camera give off enough thermal energy, to thaw the windshield and rear glass around them overnight. :p

still very happy with the set up.

12v should be plenty to start a Tacoma provided the battery is in good shape. I had mine set to 12v and/or 6 hours and it never got down to 12v or gave me any start issues. Of course this was on a 2018 with a good battery. The only other option is to get that battery pack Blackvue sells. That gives you 12+ house of record time while parked... it's spendy though.

Ya the battery is a little weak. She is getting replaced. Check the acid/water levels, they are good but you can see she is suflating pretty good. Holding 13.4 now. :). But I want a dual set up anyway.

I bought the Blackvue DR900S-2CH and am on the fence about getting the Power Magic EZ because I'd have to unplug it if I wanted to put an ODB2 reader in. Am I correct to assume that the Power Magic EZ only really matters in parking mode so maybe I'm overthinking it since I'll only need the EZ when I'm parked and won't be using the ODB2 reader then anyway? Yeah, I know, I could buy the Power Magic Ultra Battery but, as the guy said, it's spendy. TIA.

I saw one of the battery starter packs on sale for $40. It is has a 20,000mAh builtin battery and a 12V output. The Power Magic Ultra Battery only has 6000mAh. Maybe I could connect the Power Magic Pro to it and charge it from the truck also. Sounds like a project needing research. If anyone has any ideas about this, bring them on.

yes, the EZ powers the camera, so you would have to un plug it to add a Diag tool to the port. i thought about the battery pack too, but eh, the EZ auto cuts power if the battery gets below the 12 or 12.5 voltage you set. so im not worried about draining a battery. if you use the battery pack, you could leave it running 24/7 till the pack gets low, but i did not want more junk inside than i need. the no splicing or "fuse adapter" part of the EZ was a no brainer for me
