This is what Marie at Headstrong put together for me. The price for this custom put together kit is priced very comparable to the other kits they carry. This seems to be the same recipe that others are using on here. This is more than likely the route i will go.

Maxtrac 4” lift spindles with front brake lines

    Bilstein 5100 adj front struts

OME Dakar leaf pack – medium duty

    OME ubolts

    OME cb drop bracket

    Full bushing and sleeve kit

    RCD/Bilstein extended length rear shocks

24” SS Kevlar reinforced rear brake lines

im sure someone already asked this but if i go with the maxtrac lift spindles, it says i will need atleast a 17" wheel with 5" backspacing.. can i use boras and get away with stock 16" sr5 wheels?

Yes you can. I used my stock tss wheels with the spindles (NO WHEEL SPACERS) and 285/70/17 BFG KO2s and didn't rub at all or hit the spindle. BUT, I only had about an inch or less of clearance between wheel and spindle. So I'd go with spacers. Just remember, the spindles kick your wheels out .75" so you'll have to get some for the rear to make then even with the front.

    Per Maxtrac:

"- Spindles: +0.75" Track Width increase
    - 17" Wheel w/ 4.75" Max Backspacing
    - Will Clear up to a 33" tire with the correct wheel & tire combination."

The wheel spacer would yes push the wheel that much further away from the hub.

My RWD TRD OR is sitting on 2" front (885/5100) and 1.25" rear. I've priced it out and I'm just about to pull the trigger on going to 4". Definitely hit up Headstrong if you are getting the spindles, especially if you are in SoCal and can pick up- it's worth it. After I sell off some of these parts, my net costs are only a few hundred.

I photochopped what the truck looks like currently versus what it will look like with 4". It looks more proportional to the 285/75s with the 4" for sure. This is for anyone deciding between 2" or 4".

Are you gonna keep the 885 springs on when you add the spindles? Or go back to stock? I currently have the 885 as well on my longbed. They settled way too much and I’ve been considering the spindles.

I agree the 885 springs have settled. I'm going back to stock springs. I would be really happy with the 4". I might keep the 0.25" strut spacers on (.5" lift) butb that's it.
