Nice build! Your truck is supercharged right? feel like I've seen you pop into the 4.0 S/C thread from time to time

Nice, yeah the whipple would be sweet, it'd be hard not to get one if they come out with it.. Not sure that will happen though as that would have them competing with their own centrifugal supercharger for the taco.. Would be awesome though!

Not competition in a sense that they're fighting others for business. More in the sense of cannibalism, as one product is going to take away from sales of the other.

Kinda like building two McDonald's right next to each other. Sure its the same company getting the revenue, but they're competing with themselves in a sense

its not a perfect solution but i put my full sized spare under the bed again with the stock crank setup. it is a worn 315/75/16 ko2 and i managed to get it to fit. it is resting on my high clearance hitch though but itd only go up maybe another 1/2inch. cut the exhaust at the peak of the incline coming off the muffler and hacked off the rear support by the leaf mount.

mainly i was tired of moving it in and out of the bed for around town which is really 95% of the trucks use :(

guess theres another mod. going dual battery, i want to be able to use my fridge on my riding trips when the truck doesnt move for 2-3 days without any worries. probably make my own battery tray, $200 for the passenger fender mount is a bit ridiculous.

    parts ordered:

Pieced together my own kit as well. Off-grid was way too expensive but a good option for those "doin' it for the gram". I will be about $100 less than the cost of that kit including the batteries. Scam artists.

its definitely a "pretty" kit but im not paying $900 just for the equipment. about $150 in now, tray shouldnt cost more than $20-30 to make and a battery which ill probably go group 31 since i dont have the air pump in the way anymore

I'll admit, I bought the Off Grid setup for the convenience factor. Being able to install it on the truck in an hour or so without having to think about how I want to mount things or cut/crimp wire was nice. No insta-overlander here :p

But, if you have the time and tools then I definitely agree that a "custom" dual battery setup is way cheaper.

    Debateable :p

Definitely in no rush to get it together so itll be a spare time project. Order a battery first then make the mount and wire up.
