Which mount did you go with? My Tech Deck uses ball mounts. It looks like that TPAM uses something that screws in.

That's the same ones I use. I have both sizes of the arms. The shortest one worked best for me.

 

That’s also the one I use on the Hondo unholey mount.

 

How's the cell holder ?

 

I've never had a problem. It's a pain in the ass to get the phone out with one hand

 

Can it handle bouncing around off road ?

 

Yes, it’s toight and the rubber pads absorb some impact.
Two-handed operation though.

But the extent of my OR has been some Maine dirt roads around my wife’s uncles ski cabin and rutty dirt trails.

 

Mine like that does!

I got to looking at that TPAM. I like it better for the 3rd gen. I don't care for the gaps on the 2nd gen

I like it better on the 3rd gens. It has a more "finished" look. I have the Tech Deck on my 2nd gen and have been happy with it.

My cell holder plugged into one of the vents. Broke a couple months back, never replaced it. My phone usually rides on the dash and does HUD speedo for me. Keep my eyes on the road!
