Shelf I got hung up on yesterday, kind of took me by surprise (thought I could bump over it) but it was pretty deep and had my rear/driver tire swallowed up. After a few of these attempts I realized I could just go around it

Don't do what I did, I shouldn't have floored it so much...good way to blow out your rear diff. Kept feeling like I was *this* close to grabbing traction so I kept the throttle going. Although the supercharger whine sounds cool, lol

Valve covers, crossmember, the usual. It was all just dirty from years of oil leaks

I texted these to my roommate who lives up there, he doesn’t live far from where you took the 2nd picture.

They may be, design is more modern, if you're looking for a good pump I recommend the Aeromotive 340, can barely even hear mine

nice, we took a boat tour of the lake...was interesting to get a history of the houses out there. I had no idea there were so many famous people that live up in Lake Arrowhead lol. Samy Hagar and Axle Rose both have giant houses out there on the lake.

Also it's a completely private lake, only people that reside up there with lakefront rights can use it (and the tour company)

Any of you guys with RTTs have issues with the bed flexing and the weight of the rack/tent on it? I'm starting to get this gnarly 'popPOP' (almost like a knocking sound) when my truck flexes from the rear, kinda afraid maybe the rack and tent is starting to cause some damage.

Haven't seen any bed reinforcement kits for 1st gens like I have for 2nd and 3rd but has anyone here made their own? Just looks like a couple of beefy L brackets I guess.

Not even sure that's what I need but something ain't right

Nope, the bed is supposed to flex with the frame, both are weaksauce. I just made sure my rack attached as firmly as possible.

yeah I go around with a wrench and check all the bolts pretty regularly, I guess it's been awhile since last time though. The bed rails on our trucks aren't very sturdy so I do wonder if maybe I've got a crack forming somewhere.

Ever since the day I put the rack on the bed (even before the RTT) my tailgate hasn't shut on it's own, I have to lift the handle as I close it for it to latch shut. So it did affect the bed somewhat right away

I wouldn't bother with any of those they're all underachievers compared to any aftermarket pump

    I’m getting a WRX!!1!1!1!1

Almost comical how bad the fuel economy is. The Tacoma gets better fuel economy from the factory.

The standard WRX will be more reliable and have better mileage but neither will be as reliable as a Tacoma.
