What color are people choosing? 3 red and 2 clear?
What is the diffused color?

 

If I understand correctly, the clear is essentially spot, so goes straight back. The diffused has a diffused cover in front of it and allows for a more distributed light that will most likely light the bed up much more than the spot. Spot for destroying the retinas of those behind you.

FLOOD BEAM PATTERN
The Cyclone LED comes in a flood beam pattern to provide a large pattern of light by utilizing an infinite vertical and horizontal beam pattern. This delivers ample illumination over short distances.

 

I went with 3 red and two clear. I didn't choose the diffused because they're already a flood light.

 

@Taylor@KC HiLiTES am I correct here? What are the advantages of clear over diffused in this configuration?

 

Both lights (all cyclones), regardless of lens, are basically flood lights, not spot lights. The advantage of clear is that because it's a clear lens, you will have slightly more useable light than you would with the diffuse lens. The diffuse lens is just easier on the eyes if you happen to stare into their souls. You won't see a big difference in the light output pattern between the clear and diffuse lenses.

 

Hello gents, So I’m trying to do the same thing and add a brake module flasher or strobe when I apply my brakes. But not being obnoxious. One or two quick flashes before going solid. However I am trying to add this to all three brake lights And not just third brake light. On a third GEN taco, Does anyone know if this can be done? I’m trying to figure out where is the best place to connect this unit. I know I need to connect it before the third brake light and tail lights splits. Is there a good place to connect it between the brake module at the foot brake onward to the cabin? And if so, I hope it doesn’t have any issues with the tail lights since the tail lights share directional as well as the brake light.

 

You might wanna check local laws before you do that. Not sure if they regulate you doing it to the main brake lights.
