Highest Mileage 3rd Gen

Any major issues?

 

Aside from the typical transmission issue you hear about the only other thing was a right rear wheel bearing

 

I searched for the highest mileage 3rd gen for sale and found this



There are about a dozen 3rd gens on autotrader with over 100k, decent mix of both 4 and 6 cylinder

 

I would say they are holding there resale! Even if this sells for 20k, that is pretty amazing for 150,000 miles.

I noticed that too. Could just be dealers trying to take advantage of the resale rate. Buts it’s good to know that there are some higher mileage ones out there, because if there were any problems I’m sure we would hear about it. But we haven’t so that may tell us something about the longevity

 

I’m at 50k on my 2016 TRD Offroad and I got a call from a dealership today, that did some collision repair previously for me, who was trying to buy my truck from me. When I last got my oil change that dealership offered 27,500 trade in for it. They had a short list of vehicles up in there service center that they wanted, 3rd gens were on there.

 

As little as I drive the '18 (between the '97, bikes and wife's car), 160k miles will take me to retirement (20 yrs).

 

Wow that's incredible! If I were in your position, I'd have to consider that, assuming you haven't already dumped a ton of money into modding it. From what I've seen on here, another 3-5k would get you into a brand new one! Great to know they hold their value!

 

Had 39373 on my 2017 trd off road v6, 6 speed.. I had it for 20months, no issues

 

looks like you indeed, had issues.

 

One picture... so many questions?

1. Can you strip your aftermarket parts off?
2. Are those sliders or steps?... What brand?
3. Were you T-boned and then rolled?
4. Are you an "asshole"? (no offense, but you're parked in "asshole alley")

 

13k on my 17 and it’s been in at the dealership for a/c fan recall, warped driver and passenger side door seals (twice), tsb on the transmission, and paint defects.
I’m still happy with it.

 

Yeah I kept everything that was good

Sliders I built them & rear bumper

Yep t-boned and rolled

 

When they cold call you like that it's usually not in your favor

I had a couple scrapes and scratches.

 

Dealerships do this all the time, just another sales tactic.

 

Do tell about the right rear wheel bearing, thinking that I may have the same issue.
