I always liked to camp, but since I have a cot, combined with my sleeping pad, i love it!

Looking into getting me and the kiddo a larger tent that we can set cots up in and easier to get in and out of.

When the wife and dog come we have an old 8 man coleman tent. Enough room for two cots as well as tonys cot. Extremely handy. If it's just me I use that little green tent that you saw at AOAA.

They're actually forged after reading much debate, or so the internet experts say. Like I said, some people don't bother heat treatment, and total chaos doesn't include it in their instructions. It's just a precaution I'd like to do because there are some people with gusseted spindles that experience cracks.

I think they are cast just because you can see the cast line. Could be press forged though.

I heard that too. Thought there was another type of welding to use for that kind of steel. But if it is only a matter of heat, being cautious worth it

I thought the same but apparently there’s other forging processes it could be. Anywho, I’m just gonna go with how others weld and try and mimick that!

Not sure if glorified welder does it the way you are going to. If your's turn out good and the welds hold up I may let you have a crack at mine as well.

I’ll let ya know! I’m going to pick gas up just for this project. I have a potential hook up for a discount on the gas. Will know more tomorrow.

Talking all this bracing do you know if the updated frames could benefit from the motor mount bracing? I am going to order all the TC bracing soonish. Gotta get locker and 63s done before our April trip and want to try and fix my body damage before then as well.

I do know the older frames had issues with weak motor mounts, but the updated ones addressed that. My new frame has the updated mount so I’d assume yours does too.

Sweet!!!! One less thing to buy.
According to when I had mine replaced they updated the update. But that was more to do with some other things not the main frame from my understanding.

Added some led reverse lights. Didn’t do a damn thing for output, but at least they are matched in color to the rigids, which was my goal. Plus now it’s less draw on the reverse circuit.
