    Hello Everyone,

I am installing a aironboard switch into a 2018 Rav4 that we got. I purchased a PCBA QI board to wire in a wireless charger into the Rav4 so it would be similar to my Tacoma.

Items I have so far include a 12v to 5v step down which will be using an add a fuse into the fuse box, and then it's microusb on the other end to plug into the wireless charger board. This will be mounted under a little cubby under the dash.

Anyways, I went to aironboard and purchased a on/off power switch similar to the QI button that comes in the Tacoma to power it on and off. It came with the wiring harness (see picture 1) as well as wiring instructions (see picture 2). My assumption is that I will use diagram 2?. My plan is to interrupt the circuit with the switch so that I can turn power on and off so that I can control when I want the wireless charger to be active. My question is, do I need to use a relay? has anyone with more experience with these buttons know better than I do?

Plan on how to wire from the harness:
    Black Wire = ground
Blue Wire = power from a 12v parking light fuse to turn on the back light on the switch
Red Wire = 12v supply coming from the 12v to 5v step down
Green = 5v power supply from the switch to the QI PCBA board to close out the interruption when the switch is pressed/turned on

    Here is the switch

Compare the amp rating of the switch to that of the board - if the switch is lower, you need a relay that will handle the load of the circuit (board). I think you probably wont need the relay.
