My ‘18 clutch pedal sounded like a cross between a barn door and a loose bed frame. The noisy clutch TSB currently only goes up to 2017 Tacoma’s and white lithium grease applied by the dealer and myself did not stop the noise. It seemed too thin and the noise came back worse. Here’s a video for your entertainment.

I did some digging around here and found people having luck with disc brake grease and tried it out. Completely quiet now and judging by the consistency of this stuff I probably won’t need to reapply for some time. Hope this helps anyone else with a noisy clutch.

Great to hear, l found this to do the trick dating back to my old 2nd Gens, the problem was always worse when it was hot outside and that grease doesn't melt away.

Is it the rod that goes thru the firewall? I had an Acura RSX-S and civic si that both had squeaky clutch pedals....

I just used some of the CRG stuff on my truck today. My 2020 started doing this a few weeks ago. I mentioned it to the service writer, when I took it in for its 20k service this morning. He told me it just needed lubed. As soon as I went to pull away, I knew whatever lube they used didn't work (if they actually lubed it at all). Despite lubing both ends of the spring and some of the spring itself and the rod with the CRG tonight, the groan is not completely gone. If I push the pedal hard to the floor then release it really slowly, it makes the awful sound. Good thing that's not something I do while driving.

I have yet to experience this problem. I will have to keep this in mind if it does happen. Thanks for sharing :hattip:

Try Disc Brake Grease on all the pivot points and that should take care of it, it also will not melt away like other greases or lubes.
