This might seem like a pointless thread, but I wanted to mention how good the back up camera is on these 3rd gens. You almost don’t even have to look around (well you should) when using it.

Anybody else feel this way? I see a lot threads about issues so I wanted to just mention something I love about the truck.

    Thanks.

Yeah, I use it a lot. My bedrack and RTT blocks the rearview mirror view so it's a really handy tool

This is exactly the reason I've been meaning to do the camera-always-on mod. It's kinda funny how much I put my truck into reverse just to see what's behind me.

The only thing that would be nice is if it gave you the track the vehicle will go. That’s makes it even easier. My wife has that on her Rav 4 and it makes backing up twice as easy to judge.

Very handy for parallel parking here. Able to park the truck into tightest spots..

In the northeast during the winter they are pretty much useless. You can wipe the lens and then fifty feet down the road, it’s AFU again.

I've found the BU camera super helpful. Side mirrors when backing-up and parallel parking (my house is on street parking only); BU camera for gauging depth (rear bumper).

I've been backing into parking spaces without a camera and without a problem my whole life. Camera is nice, but if it were gone I wouldn't miss it more than a day or two. Where I truly do appreciate it, is on the trails and in the woods. Saves me a lot of getting out to see what's back there in the tight spots. Nice for hooking up trailers too.
