I also just bought myself a new to me truck. I’m not aware of many places to wheel in Georgia but if you know of some I’d be down to link up. I’m very new to the whole scene

Nice man, congrats! I know of quite a few places in Clayton, I go that way often. I'm actually headed up to Windrock park in TN this weekend with a buddy to test the new truck out! This is earls ford with my old truck.

How does one get to Earls Ford? I've heard of it for months but haven't been there yet

From Clayton, head up Warwoman Rd. Right after you pass the fire station at 7870 Warwoman Rd, Clayton, GA 30525, youll go around a corner and earls ford rd will be on your right. Turn down and keep going straight and itll run into earls ford crossing and shortly into the Chatooga river. Blue circle is approx where the creek crossing is. I dont recommend going after continuous heavy rain, it can get DEEP. earl.jpg

Not a bad road, pretty easy stuff till the crossing.

Atleast since I've been up there

Yeah, it’s not bad at all up to the crossing. A standard sedan could make it up to that point if they were careful. I was there a couple weekends ago.

I’m in NW GA, just south of Chattanooga. Always looking for new places to explore. I had a ‘13 OR I loved dearly but I was always unhappy with an automatic, my last 3 first gens were all manual. Finally found a manual 3rd gen, it’s a lot more fun to drive. Anyway...here they are.

I’ll be modding it later on, just enjoying it stock for now. Anyone in my area hit me up, I’m new here and always looking to check out new places.

Nice, I just picked up this 2018 OR MT in the same color. I've had it for two months and already put 5k miles on it.

Sweet truck. That’s what I was going to get, but I drove one with the sunroof and it needed a little more headroom. I liked leather but didn’t like the sunroof. Seemed like a ‘17 Pro was the only way to get that combo I wanted in cement. I saw this truck with 15k on it for less than a TRD OR at a Ford dealership in South Carolina so I figured why not.

Apparently these things are higher than stock but I don’t see it. Looks like a little car to me after driving my 2nd Gen on 33’s and 3” lift for so long.

Yeah, I believe they are 1" higher than a stock OR. I plan doing a 2" lift eventually, but right now I'm enjoying as-is. Mine luckily doesn't have the sunroof, but is cloth interior. I wanted a low option Off Road, so this one was perfect. Cement was the color I wanted, too.

That was my plan...get a base cement OR and get leather seat upholstery and OEM Audio Plus upgrades for it. My last OR with cloth smelled like an old sock from me sweating in it and my 2 year old smearing god knows what into the back seat.

I think I’m going to do the Revtek 1.5” spacer/aal Pro lift, I’ve heard pretty good things about it despite it being a cheap spacer lift. I have a camper to tow so the aal will at least help with that. Probably do ADS suspension and dakars later on though once I start adding armor.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Too Funny, I used to live off that road. Well sort of, I used to be a pro Kayaker and my buddies and I slept in a VW Westfalia bus every Thur-Tues for about 2-3yrs.
Some sweet memories up there. Too cool that you referenced that road.

Nice truck btw, also my fav color. My ‘03 v8 4runner was Galatic Grey...was super nice. Must say that Supercharger is (.)(.)s on that motor.

    Any boaters in this group?
