I was only briefly looking either. They may be in the same price point but I think the rec was a good bit more pricey.

However I like the whole adding an antenna thing so I can control it with WiFi part. The millennial in me wants the shit out of that.

I think normally you’re right I just looked at the RT-340 is normally like $999 but it’s on sale for $400 off right now. It’s WiFi now also. I think that’s the next big thing lol.

Ya you would think they would have just included it with their prices.

I keep saying I want one but the finances just aren’t agreeing with me.

It took me a looong time to pull the trigger on one. So far I'm still happy I took the plunge. I keep hitting them up in email asking for the wifi card... I send them cook pics to use on FB so I'm trying that angle. Guess I need a YouTube Channel :drevil:

Thanks to all who replied on my rib question.I am going to do my best to replicate the competition ribs off the Pitfaced site. I think I am going to go with St Louis cut, I found some frozen at Publix last night for $3.99/pound.

Damn. Looking at the rec tec the thing is pretty damn cool. And you’re right on the WiFi it comes standard. It’s only $50 more right now than the GMG Daniel Boone and then I’d have to get an antenna for that one. Miiiiiight Justin have to order the Rec Tec now haha

the 700 model has great reviews actually. No first hand experience though and they were on sale for like less than 300 not too long ago.

From my research, better build and customer service and warranty iirc. Have a few friends with each and seemes like rec tec is a step up from GMG. Not knocking GMG at all, just comparing the two side by side.
